DESCRIPTION: Very Pretty Restored 1930s 13" Ideal Shirley Temple Doll. Marked Shirley Temple on her head and Shirley Temple 13 on her back. She has an open smiling mouth showing six upper teeth, clear sleep eyes and a dimple in each cheek. A lovely original mohair wig in perfect Shirley curls. She is all composition, jointed at the neck, shoulders and hips and tightly strung for posing. Shirley wears an original untagged 1930s Ideal loop dress. Note the vintage patterned cotton fabric. Underneath her dress she has on a newly made onesie. On her feet are replaced white side buckle soft leather shoes and vintage (1950s) socks. This is a very pretty doll. Although she is not perfect, she has been sealed and should stay beautiful for years to come. I do not know what the seamstress repaired, she sold it to me as you see it. She did tell me that she had freshened it and made some repairs. They don't look like they were extensive. The last photo shows this doll next to an 18" Shirley with original paint. This photo is included so you can compare the restored doll's skin tone. It is somewhat lighter than the original doll, but the flash on the camera makes it look lighter than it is.
