This auction is for one vintage (ets. 1930s) western saddle, made by Simco. Has the Simco Daisy logo stamp on the hors, skirt and fender, and stamped "D 089" behind the cantle. Has a 14" seat (rides bigger), and a 7" gullet (semi-QH bars). The metal reinforced rawhide tree is comlpetely sound and very sturdy. Has brand new saddle strings and silver heart conchos, the white leather rosette conchos are original. The original genuine sheepskin fleece is in good shape, but has a couple of tears at the withers and w the saddle strings were replaced. Certainly still usable and no big deal. The leather wrapping on the tree between the fleece has a large tear in it (see photo). The stirrup fenders do not match, but are very close, and it is not too noticable (see photos). The original Simco fender has a repair at the top (see photo), which appears to have been professionally done. The rigging has new copper rivets in three of the four rivet points, and one side is reinforced with some extra leather pieces (see photos). These repairs are not "hack jobs"...all are well done and the saddle is perfectly safe and usable as is. The leather is a little "wrinkled" with some slight surface cracks, mostly on the fenders, but nothing deep and the integrity is still good in my opinion. This is a sturdy, heavy little saddle, well made, and inspite of the above mentioned "issues", is absolutely safe for riding and would make a great using saddle or a lovely display.

Some of my saddles come with latigo and/or off billet, some do not. If it isn't pictured, it probably is not included. Use the shipping calculator to figure exact postage to your area.
