Vintage 1930's Slingerland WMP 12x14" Radio King Tom
Vintage 1930's Slingerland WMP 12x14" Radio King Tom
Sold For:
For sale is a WMP Slingerland 12x14" Radio King tom in great shape. This one dates to 1937-1940 and would have been part of an outfit and mounted to the bass drum. The tom mount is included and still attached to the drum. All of the nickel hardware is original and complete and is in very good shape. With some polishing it will look excellent. The tom holder needs some TLC, if you decide to use it. Both heads are the Radio King-stamped calf skin heads. The bottom head has a cigarette burn on it, which I hear was a trick that the old jazz cats employed to give the drum a vent! The white marine pearl wrap is in good shape but yellowed from age, as you would expect. Let me know if you have any other questions.
