RARE FORM Vintage 1930s Transferware Square Blue Willow Made In Japan Canister From Cereal / Spice / Kitchen Storage Set. LID PICTURE SHOWS THE TRUE "WILLOW" BLUE COLOR AND THE BRIGHT WHITE BACKGROUND, LARGE LID FOR THE LARGER CANISTER, SMALL LID IS FOR THE SPICE SIZE CANISTER. Canisters are not ivory colored with muddy blue as in this picture, I'm just an untalented photographer! This Coffee canister is 4 1/4" wide, by 7" tall by 4 1/4" deep. Condition is good: no dings, no cracks, no chips, no hairlines. The lid has no damage. Blue is the true "willow blue, design registration is crisp and clear, "coffee" is underglaze. Clear glaze is thick and shiny. T is faint, colorless crazing of the glaze on the body. T is faint, slightly ivory crazing on the lid. Base is backstamped, "Moriyama Made In Japan" with a tiny basket of flowers. GUARANTEED TO BE AN ORIGINAL BLUE WILLOW CANISTER OF THE PERIOD STATED.
