Vintage 1930s THANKSGIVING Platter Mayflower Pilgrims Crown Ducal Colonial Times Album Album Album Album Album Album Album Album Vintage 1930s THANKSGIVING Platter Mayflower Pilgrims Crown Ducal Colonial Times This is a wonderful squared oval platter made by Crown Ducal as part of their �Colonial Times� line. The line was issued in 1934 and features early scenes of American settlement in blue transfer on white. This platter depicts �The First Sermon Ashore - Plymouth 1621�. Each corner of the platter has a different scene within an oval cartouche. Among the scenes are �Pocahontas Saving the Life of John Smith�, �Mayflower in Plymouth Harbor�, �Return of the Mayflower� and �American Indian�. The platter measures 12 1/4� by 8 7/8� and weighs 1 1/2 lbs. It is in very good condition - some craze lines in the glaze, barely noticeable, on the underside and a line in the transfer print, but this is original to the making of the piece and shouldn�t bother anyone. This is a wonderful display piece for Thanksgiving, depicting the Pilgrims giving thanks in prayer upon arrival in the New World......very attractive piece and a nice addition to a collection in this pattern..... I am now shipping to my US clients through USPS services. I am located in Canada but I now have a carrier service to bring my parcels directly across the border on Thursdays to be shipped out of the USPS postal outlet in Champlain, N.Y. In addition to the actual shipping cost, I do charge a $3.00 handling fee to cover the cost of this special US service. Please note that even with the handling fee that it is less expensive and is a quicker service than using Canada Post. If you wish your item to be shipped by USPS in the same week, I would require your paypal payment by Wednesday at 5:00 p.m., Eastern Standard Time. PLEASE NOTE: For items which sell over $200.00, I must ship to my U.S. clients using Canada Post, this is due to customs regulations. To my Canadian clients, I use Canada Post for shipping, as I am based in Canada - legally, I am not permitted to ship to you through the US, so do not rely on the US shipping calculator for costs. To my International clients I can ship by either Canada Post or by USPS (in order to use USPS for intl. clients - the items must sell for under $200.00).
