This is the "Official Program And Log" for the 1934 National Air Racesheld in Cleveland, Ohio. The races were touted as "Commemorating AQuarter Century Of Aviation Progress" Just think, in 1934 when this program was printed aviation was only a quarter century old. Inside the program are many pictures of old airplanes and famous pilots such as Jimmy Doolittle, Roscoe Turner etc. You will find many ads for airplane related suppliers, for autos such as the Ford V-8 and even a two page ad for a "One Stop Service Store" built to service autos in downtown Cleveland. A 52 page , 9" x 12" program with a red, white and blue cover it is in good shape for it's age but does have some wear to the cover, and approx. 1/8th of the last page has been torn off at the top (this was a coupon for the Grand Prize Drawing as you can see in the photo). The last photo is a single loose page showing "Today's Racing Entries for Saturday, September 1, 1934". This is a vintage piece of aviation history and should be of interest to aviation buffs and people interested in Cleveland's past. Thank You.
