VINTAGE 1936 INLAID WOOD LOG CABIN STILL BANK W/ PENNY "SELF DENIAL FOR MISSIONS" (in black ink on top) "PENNY-A-DAY BANK" (in black ink on top) CIRCA: 1936 72 YRS OLD LINCOLN PENNY INLAID ON TOP DATED- 1936 S HAND MADE INLAID WOOD LOGS WITH WHITE CENTERS AND REAL GLASS WINDOWS- DOOR For your consideration you will view one UNIQUE old Log Cabin Still Bank with added Personal Touches such as ( most likely ) the Childrens initials atop the 3 cut slots. each coin dropped into the top goes into a divided section of the interior of the bank. When the bank was made it had matching Black ink with the person initials at some later date (or when the children gre up new initials were carved higher up over the first initials. TO ORIGINAL! 3 Real Glass Windows and door in front with Hand Painted Black Black and Black Base of the door. Nice Solid Wood Chimney on the side. OUTSTANDING CRAFTMANSHIP This Unique Mission Wood Bank will measurements 6 3/8" Tall x 8 1/8" Wide X 3 1/2" Deep without the roof. The bottom has a very faded Green Sticker which is very difficult to read- I can make out the Mission and Penny Back Saying and the words Mission as well as possible Methodist Society. This Primitive Piece is in EXCELLANT condition for 72 Years old and lots of usage the wood is in Great shape with the exception of the front left corner is missing- SEE PHOTOS other than that no damag very solid piece.
