~ Vintage 1936 Zenith tombstone model 5s29 ~ Here is a very nice Zenith 5-tube, 3 band, tombstone radio, model 5s29, mfg. circa 1936. The radio is in very good original condition and is all original right down to the finish. I have not put power to the radio as I bought it to restore and do not want to chance damaging the electronics before it is checked out. It has 1 broken tube and the small tuning knob has a couple of chips. There is a small piece broken off the right front lower part of the base. It is all there and when set in place is not noticeable, as can be seen by the pictures. So when re-glued will not show at all. This is a very nice looking and desirable radio. It will display well as it sits or with a little restoration will be a real beauty. Measures 12.5” wide by 9” deep by 18” tall. I start my auctions at $9.95 and without reserve. This offers a good chance to buy at a very good price. Bid your price though. Don't let the next guy snag it out from under you at the last minute.
