Vintage 1939 Thomas System "500" Cribbage Board * Cribbage MFG. Co., Minneapolis, MN I have a very unusual, vintage cribbage board for sale made by Cribbage Manufacturing Company, 1425 Washington Ave South, Minneapolis MN (address on the back of the "Rules of Play" book). Thomas B. Stauff wrote the enclosed book that came with cribbage board and score sheets, entitled "Rules of Play” governing '500' Cribbage. The Thomas system, a modern (in 1929) version of cribbage is a fairly radical re-working of the game. As it seems not to have caught on with card players, and is therefore primarily of historical interest, the complete rules of Five Hundred Cribbage are in the book, how to use the score sheets ect…of course you may play any cribbage game you want with this board. All the correct metal and wood pegs for 500 Cribbage are intact if you choose to challenge yourself with 500 Cribbage, the simple cardboard box with no graphics leaves a bit to be desired.
