This auction is for an " OUTSTANDING " OR " BEST OF THE BEST " VINTAGE 1939 LANE CEDAR CHEST WITH TWO REMOVABLE TOP DRAWERS, ONE LOWER SLIDE OUT DRAWER , LOCK AND ELECTRIC LIGHT WHEN CHEST IS IN OPEN POSITION . The chest , which is 42" long by 18" deep by 22" tall, is all original except the electric light wiring , which I replaced. The finish is remarkable super. The serial # 933001 indicates it was made Jan,3 1939 and the style # is 441595, which are marked on the back side. The top and bottom drawers have green felt lining and the marks shown in the photo are from my vacumn cleaner. The original papers are still attached to the upper lid. EXCELLENT CONDITION both inside and outside. I have called LANE recall center and have a new replacement lock and key set being shipped to me. This cedar chest came from an estate sale and all the other old furniture was in outstanding spotless condition. The original sales price on this chest was $250.00 and that was back in 1939. Because of the size (see above) and weight (150# approx), we recommend pick up only. However, we will ship at buyers expense. Don't miss out on this auction, place your bid today.
