Purchased at an Estate Sale last summer, this 1940 - 1956 era MJ Hummel called "PLAYMATES" is a Candy Box and is in very good, vintage condtion with no chips, cracks or repairs found. T is some crazing, mostly on the top of the box lid as you can see in the pictures provided and as you might expect in a piece of this age. The figurine portion is in very good condition with no crazing found. I found this piece listed in a 1987 Luckey's Hummel Identification and Value Guide. When this book was printed they valued this Candy Box at about $300 to $350. I have included lots of pictures for you. Be sure to use the enlargement feature for the best close-up view and GOOD LUCK!
