Estate ring circa: 1940s and in very good condition. Centering this ring we find a natural (per my GIA jeweler t is no evidence of enhancement) high grade (some would call it Imperial) jadeite jade cabochon gemstone, marquise shaped, and center set with six diamonds surrounding. Ring is a size 8 and was previously sized, stamped "18k" inner band. The jadeite gem in this ring is a slim marquise that measures 10mm top to bottom and just a hair under 4mm wide. It is set in secure split prongs at the top and bottom and has a "cut out peephole" underneeth the gem. Surrounding the jade we find 16 points total of full cut, bright white high quality clean diamonds. Perhaps when this ring was sized a bit of the underside of the gold pulled apart. My jeweler advises this is easily fixed - however it doesn't affect the ring or cause problems when being worn, so you might choose to wear it "as is" - certainly only noticed when the ring is flipped over. In all, my jeweler advises a value of over $1,600.00 for this ring. Since it might need a little work to bring it back to perfect, I'm offering it for a bargain!
