You are bidding on a Vintage 1940's to 1950's Large Metal Dr Pepper Cooler. This cooler was made by Progress Refrigeration Co. Louisville, KY. It stands 17" tall to top of lid handle and is 13" wide and 17" long. It is in very good original condition for its age. The paint and lettering is also in good condition for its age. T are scratches and paint chips from use which are normal but overall it still looks and presents itself very well! It has a bottle opener and drain plug (with original chain) on the front which you can see in the pictures . The lid on this cooler is dented in and appears to have been sat on at some point. The lid handle is still in very good condition. Due to the lid being dented in, the carry handle does not lock into the lid handle as it should; you can see by the pictures the gap between the cooler handle and the lid handle. The lid still does fit on the cooler well even though it is dented in. Someone who knows more about these coolers may be able to pop the lid back out. The inside of the cooler is galvanized metal and does show mimimal surface rust. T are only a few minor surface rust spots on this cooler which are shown in the pictures. All in all, this is still a great looking original unrestored Dr Pepper Cooler. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or if more pictures are desired. Don't let this one pass you by!
