A Vintage 1940s Figural Military Army Hat Visor Celluloid Powder Compact. This mid to late 1940's compact is 3" in diameter and 1 ½" high, made of celluloid or another early plastic. It is russet brown and drab loden green, the colors of the U.S. Army. There's a gold foil sticker on the front, featuring the American eagle. It has a tight closure and minimal age appropriate wear. The compact is not signed, but these military hat compacts were almost always made by HENRIETTE. Opening the top of the visor is a round framed mirror on the inside of the lid. The round framed mirror on the inside lid, has some "silvering" and dark spots, but is still reflective. The original pink powder pad and the fitted silk powder sifter or screen are present.
