This pretty little miss is Little Joan, an early 1940s bisque doll by Nancy Ann in a harder to find variation with jointed legs. I believe she also is a pudgy tummy. Please if you're a collector look at the photos and judge for yourself. I'm not a Nancy Ann expert. The doll is in nice condition with a few mild condition issues. She does not have her box or her wrist tag BUT, she has a Nancy Ann Dressed Dolls sticker on her wool felt hat. I've never seen one of these stickers so while perhaps not rare, it certainly isn't common. They must have easily fallen off or been taken off by children. She has a pretty face with original coloring and a nice auburn wig. She has no cracks and her outfit is complete with hat with attached flowers. There are two spots to note on her dress, one on the chest and one pale one in back near the hem. I have not tried to soak the dress and these may come out. But as is, the dress is crispy and hasn't been washed. It is still a nice shade of lime green with an olive green hat. There is also a tiny pinprick on the front of the dress. She is jointed and is wearing her original pantalettes with some pale yellowing visible on close inspection in bright light. She has no unpleasant odors and is from a non-smoking home.
