1940s - 1950s 15" Handpainted Wooden Salad Bowl w/ Servers is a impressive fantastic condition handpainted wooden salad bowl from the 1940-1950s. Bowl is signed on the bottom with the Rio Grande marking. It is a 15" diameter size. Handpainting around the inside edge of a tropical flower..or so it looks. Bowl is complete with wooden fork & spoon servers. Bowl stands on three small round ball feet. Size is 15" in diameter x 5-1/2" tall. I found no loss of paint or damage to the finish of the bowl both inside & out. A few very slight scratch marks which is just from the passage of time. Although the two servers do not appear to have ever been used I find some lightness and darkness & I believe more in the wood than the finish itself. I don't believe I ever seen this type of bowl in this great a finish/condition. It really is impressive. This item will be shipped FedEx with insurance include.
