Vintage 1940's ROYAL ARROW PORTABLE GREY MAGIC TYPEWRITER with INSTRUCTIONS Nice condition. Tested and Works!! Please see photos and ask questions. Includes Tweed Carrying Case and key. This ACTUAL typewriter was on display at the Park Ridge, Illinois Historical Society as an example of Mid-Century technological progress! Gray all-metal body in crackle finish paint measures approx. 11½" x 10¼" x 5". 44 glass-topped keys, pica type (10 characters per inch). In very good condition and full working order. Has light wear. Types well, with good impression and alignment. No sticking typebars or skipping. Platen and rollers are in good shape and grip properly. Features include "Magic Margin" (left margin only, with the right set manually under the rear cover), touch control, platen clutch for variable spacing, automatic and manual ribbon reverse, and two custom keys (one of which includes the prescription symbol). Takes standard nylon ribbons available online and from stationers. Brown fabric-covered wooden carrying case is complete and undamaged. This is a well-cared-for machine that's pleasant to type on.
