These items are in vintage condition. They do have rust, there color is green. I looked on the inside of them, i do not see any holes. One of them says U S W 45 MONARCH and that is located on top of the can it also has a small dent on top. The sides say USA AND Q.M.C.. The other can says U S W NESCO 1944. There is no writing on the sides. I found these items in the barn I think they were my grandfathers since he was in world war 2, but I could be wrong.
