I have here an old pair of boxing gloves. They would make a great display piece in a themed interior.I can safely say they date to 1942 as inside one of the gloves is stamped, as far as I can make out: H S Ltd. 1942 It is very difficulat to photograph satisfactorily, but the date is clear enough. I may be wrong about the H bit. I couldn't find any info on the manufacturer, but to me they are reminiscent of WW2 apparell which often had the date of manufacture printed in it. There may once have been ribbon ties or whatever you call them, attached to the elastic. The gloves weigh 8oz ounces each. If they don't sell I will just keep them as I've not seen anything like these before; they would make a great talking point ! UK mainland First class post & packaging £4.50 thank you for looking ! Somebody asked me if these gloves were horsehair - I assume read more
