Omega wristwatch with stainless body and brown leather strap Body is 32.5mm diameter 38mm strap clip to strap clip and about 9mm thickThe leather straps are complete but well worn The back is clean without dents The glass is held in with sticky tape at the moment, the face appears quite discoloured but the Omega logo is readable The winding knob feels as if winds the spring but will not adjust the time The movement is serial number 9630317 which dates the watch to 1942 and states 16 jewels The escapement runs for about three seconds when the watch is gently shaken The back is labelled Omega - Swiss Made and has the number 10242701 This belonged to my late father and I believe that he owned it during his RAF service in India and the Far East at about that time
