Vintage ROSEVILLE POTTERY Foxglove CENTER BOWL #1121 âe" 10âe · measures approximately 14" long (handle to handle) x 9" wide x 2-3/4" tall Up for auction is a vintage (1940âe(tm)s âe" 1942 to be exact) Roseville Art Pottery Center Bowl in the âeoeFoxgloveâe pattern. Roseville Pottery was incorporated on January 4, 1892 in Ohio and closed in November, 1954. Look closely at the details on this fantastic piece of pottery with its matte finish. The Foxglove pattern was made in 1942 and has a design of tall spires of flowers. This Center Bowl has a background of Shaded GREEN and PINK colors with a raised floral design of tall spires of WHITE and PINK flowers with green leaves. The green color is more dominate âe" the pink shading is the less dominate color. The floral design is on both sides of the bowl âe" but they are slightly different âe" on one side the design has 5 leaves and 1 large tall spire of White flowers âe" on the other side the design has 7 leaves and 1 large tall spire of Pink flowers and 1 smaller spire of White flowers. The bottom is marked in relief (raised) âeoe Roseville U.S.A. 1121 âe" 10âe. Note: According to Huxford and Nickelâe(tm)s book âeoeCollectorâe(tm)s Encyclopedia of Roseville Pottery âe" Volume 2âe indicates that the Green and Pink background colors are the most valuable in the Foxglove pattern. Note: I currently have a matching Flower Frog and a matching pair of Candle Holders (both with a Green/Pink background and both in the Foxglove pattern) available on eBay this week. Condition This Center Bowl is in EXCELLENT Condition with NO Cracks, NO Chips and NO Repairs. T is overall crazing which is not very noticeable since t are no stains in the crazing. T are a few tiny (less than 1/32âe diameter) glaze pops which occurred when this piece was made 66 years ago. These flaws do not detract from the beauty in this piece. Since each piece was individually made t are slight differences on each piece. Sorry about the light (shadows, white lines and white spots) reflections in the photos.
