vintage 1942 WWII USMC MARINE CORPS wool overcoat There are no labels I could find, but stamped on inside shoulder as shown in photo is: Quartermaster's Department 1942-43; also there are several partial stamps of the servicemen's name and possibly unit. Green color 6 button front Double breasted pea coat Marine Eagle, Globe and Anchor emblem on all buttons 2 front pockets 1 inside pocketNo belt loops or belt, may be by design or may have been removed Partially lined on upper chest and sleeves Heavy weight durable wool material EXCELLENT previously worn condition: 1 pea size and 3 coin size stains on back. 1 pea size hole on coat back. 3 inch seam separation on back. As shown in pictures. 2 pin size holes on inside lining Authentic vintage, great shape for being almost 70 years old! Size = No size tags, measurements indicate men's 40, but please see below for your correct fit.
