These old snowshoes are in awesome condition for being 67 years old! They have been used ever since they were made, including last winter! They were made by C.A. Lund in Hastings, Minnesota in 1943 for the U.S. military. They are stamped 58 X 10 1943 U.S.. They were well maintained every year and the leather bindings were always saturated with mink oil for water proofing and to maintain leather integrity. The bindings are still supple, but are starting to crack around the buckle holes. The wood frames & webbing still look new! The snowshoes will easily support a 300 lb. person in the snow! These are still functional snowshoes for the winter adventurer or would look great on any cabin wall. Why not combine both options? Please ask questions before buying.
