The front page says Azusa A City To Work In, Azusa A City To Live In, Everything from A to Z in the U.S.A. bottom says Special 1947 Federal Census -- 8,506 Population. 30 miles to the ocean, 30 miles to the desert, On "66" the main street of America. This flyer shows the Civic Center Group including the library and auditorium, The woman's clubhouse, Trout Lake at the Rainbow Angling Club, A view along old foothill boulevard east of the city, Slauson school - kindergarten - 5th grade, 2 Azusa church's, Citrus Union high school and junior college, picture of a Yucca - The "Lord's Candlestick". Crystal Lake, clark Electric water heater division of the McGraw Electric Co. - makers of "toast masters" and "buss" fuses. The future is bright for business, industry, and home-owners in Azusa Calif. It says that the 1947 Building Permits -- $4,019,000.
This flyer is in really good condition, color has yellowed a little from age, but t are no rips, tears, or dog eared edges. The flyer measures 18" by 9" spread out and has writing and pictures on both sides. If you are a collector of Calif. memoribilia, this one would make a great addition to your collection.
