Vintage 1947 Parker "51" Fountain Pen; Gold-Filled Cap

Offered is a Parker "51" fountain pen which is date-stamped ' .7. '. I believe this date stamp indicates the pen was manufactured in the second quarter of 1947. The pen is in the company's Cordovan Brown color and has an vacumatic filler mechanism. T is no color variation on the main body of the pen. The cap is gold in color. As seen in Scan # 1, with the cap in place, the pen measures approximately 5 3/8" in length. T are only two markings on the pen: the first circles the open end of the cap and reads " 1/10 12K GOLD FILLED " and below that " MADE IN U.S.A. ", the other is pararell to and just below the clutch ring on the pen's main body and reads " PARKER "51 " and below that " MADE IN U.S.A. " and the aforementioned date stamp '.7.' , both of which are visually clear and crisp. The company name, " PARKER ", appears vertically down the pocket clip; the diamond above this word is void of color. The inner groove of the clutch ring is gold washed. Scan # 4 shows the end cap's jewel. PLEASE NOTE: In viewing this scan, the spot in the center of the jewel is glare from natural lighting during the photography process . . . it is not a defect. The pen exhibits evidence of light, even wear. T are no signs of cracks or chips. The pen displays no evidence of damage or abuse. The filling mechanism plunger depresses and self-resets appropriately. The cap has not been cleaned, so light tarnishing is visible. An individual's name is embossed on the main body of the pen. The name is partially visible along the right side of the pen as seen in Scan # 2. As is the case with all of the pens I offer for bidding, this pen was recently acquired at a local estate sale. I have not attempted to use it, so it is being sold "as-is". Given this information, please review the scans carefully . I will reply to your questions emailed to me in a prompt and factual manner.
