For your consideration is a 1948 Roadmaster this is not a reproduction. This bike is a masterpiece of styling. I have had this bike for 4 years and will tell you what I can about it.
The handle bars are original and rechromed all other chrome is weatd and slightly pitted. T is some light rust on the pitting that I have chosen to not clean for this auction. The seat has been recovered but has some small paint splatters. The bikes paint is in fair condition - pitted but attractive. I have included a picture of a fresh scratch on the top tube. The bike was repainted at some point. The paint has a slight matte to it as is appropriate to the era. The bike has all original parts with the exception of the rear light which is a reproduction. The bike has Shipped with the bike will be vintage correct black wall tires, a magazine advertisement from a period magazine. I will ship inside the U.S. only. paypal only. The bike weighs in the neighborhood of 70 lbs. Shipping costs range from $40 - 100. Description update: I've scratched the top tube while moving the bike. the scratch is on the right side is appx the width of a quarter and a 1/2" long. I'm new to selling on ebay and figuring out how to post new pictures, please feel free to contact me and I will send you a picture.
