This is one of several pieces purchased by my late Grandmother on her only trip to Mexico in 1949 so logically it dates 1949 or earlier. They were all very tarnished and contained in a brown tooled leather box that I will auction later. This is a very rare and beautiful piece. It is a tear drop shaped Mexican Opal and on the back is stamped Corpus Artisans Mexico in a circular pattern, with Doris Silver stamped in the middle. I have been told that these pieces are very rare. I have a few others I will be listing with the same mark. The pendant measures about 1 inch long and about 5/8" wide not including the loop at the top. T is no chain.
