For your consideration is an authentic Al Kaline Louisville Slugger Professional Model Game Used Bat from the 1950-60 labeling period!Known as "Mr. Tiger", Al Kaline played 22 years with the Detroit tigers. During his Hall of Fame Career, Kaline collected over 3,000 hits and 10 Gold Gloves. He was a staple in the annual all-star game appearing 18 times. A true legend in Detroit and in baseball history, he was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1980. Here's your chance to own a Kaline bat for your collection.....The bat shows great use and has nice patina. The bat appears to be uncracked with grain checking on the barrel from repeated contact. The knob has a few areas that have chipped, there are a few nicks and marks along the barrel with a few appearing to be cleat marks. The knob has a marking which appears to be the #3 or if angled different could be a "W" or an "M" The bat's labeling period dates it to the 1950-60 era and is 35 inches long. The bat is a model S2 which was a model he used however does not appear on his ordering records until 1966, from what I can tell. This is a beautiful vintage Al Kaline model bat. It is certainly a professional model bat, with use that can't be confirmed to be from Al Kaline.
