This listing is for a RARE Original 1950`s American Bisque POPEYE THE SAILOR Cookie Jar.Only a small number of these jars were ever made.The jar is marked "USA" and was made by American Bisque.The jar measures 10 inches high.As you can see he has his pipe.It looks to be original to the piece.It fits perfectly into the opening formed into the jar.I`ve looked across past Ebay sales and the internet photo listings for this jar.The pipes seem to vary,I did see another pipe exactly like this one,pictured online.I see no chips are breaks,also no repairs.I do see crazing in the finish.Which you see in early cookie jars of this age.I`ve took alot of photos,the 12 maximum Ebay allows.Please look at the photos.This Rare Popeye Cookie Jar,is in very nice condition.I doubt you`ll find a nicer example.I removed a price reference sticker on the base of the jar.It was dated 1992 price paid 625.00.I`ve started the listing at less than 1/2 of the 21 year old original cost,no reserve.If you have any questions,please email me.
