Vintage Old American Flyer AF - S Gauge Atlantic Style Steam Locomotive Train Engine Description This is for a vintage American Flyer Lines Steam Locomotive No 308 with the wheel arrangement 4-4-2. This train locomotive was manufactured in 1956, when they used to make them GOOD. It features a nicely detailed locomotive and tender with working headlight, choo-choo, and the train goes forward and reverse by remote control. The tender has a knuckle coupler for realism and the wiring is in excellent condition. We bench tested it and it works well. (Note: The screw holding the tender to the engine needs to be replaced or you can just glue it on or wire-tire it together -- minor problem.) Looks in GREAT condition, but it does show some very minor signs of years of loving use and may need a tune-up and lubrication after years of storage. This train is in great condition for it's age, so don't pass up on these GREAT pieces and let this one get away. For those that do not know, the following is a short history of the AF Company.
