DESCRIPTION: Vintage 1950s KAY Acoustic Archtop Guitar. The guitar booklet that accompanies the guitar is dated 1952, but I'm not sure that's the exact date of this guitar. It's a great 1950s design, and after looking at some of the other vintage Kay "project" guitars on Ebay, it seems to be in pretty good shape. I'll list what I see as notable defects that need to be fixed (or not): there is a tiny piece of the surface of the wood that's chipped off the very end of one of the sound holes as seen in the close-up photo; the surface of the guitar could use some refinisher or oil to smooth it out as some paint has chipped off over time (see other photo of body of guitar); and the metal parts (tailpiece and endpin) have slight surface rust and the guitar could use a general cleaning. Please e-mail with questions or any helpful additional information since I really don't know much about these instruments. I just know that this one looks really cool! No case.
