Up for auction is an awesome 1950's redwood handled green tin picnic basket. Handles are in good shape with no splints. No holes from rust. Inside is "tarnished" some but I would guess this is from use (see pix). Lid snaps down and hinges are intact. Lid has a pattern with raised decoration. The lid has normal wear and tear from being opened and closed for 50+ years. It appears to me as someone set something on the lid, which made the tin go down in the corners. T is also a faint $1.00 that someone has written on the middle of the lid on the outside. (See pix). T are minor places w the paint is missing, but T are no major dents or scratches. This picnic basket was used and loved. It is not perfect, but it is a wonderful piece of Americana. Measurements: 16 X10 X 7 1/4". This basket would be awesome to use for picnics or just to set around in your home to hold magazines, knitting or sewing materials. This basket is described to the best of my ability. Thanks for looking. Lisa
