Beautiful n Rare: Vintage 1950's Remington Rand Solid Oak Library Card Catalog Cabinet We are excited to feature our newest addition with this beautiful piece of antique furniture. This piece is a library card cabinet and comes from Purdue University Library located in Lafayette, Indiana. Purdue University has been the sole owner since the manufacture of this piece back in the 1950's. This piece is constructed from solid blonde oak. Blonde oak is a rare finding in library card catalogs and not typically found except in University libraries. Another rare finding with this piece is it's design elements. It is features modular design, comprised of five (5) different connecting pieces that connect to form this one final piece. This is a great finding for potential buyers, as it will be easier to freight ship or pickup and it can be moved easily vs. the typical one piece cabinets that weight over 150lbs. This piece features 15 total small drawer cabinets located in the top portion. The cabinets measure: 3.5in height by 5in width by 15in deep. The bottom section features four (4) larger drawers. This piece is rare in that the two (2) upper large drawers measure wider vs. the lower two (2).
