This auction is for a vintage 1950s era Cronstroms aluminum beverage cooler. This stylish old cooler has wonderful graphics on both sides of the chest, advertising for "Schmidt Beer" it states in bold white letters on a bright red background ribbon " The Brew That Grew With The Great Northwest". The really nice thing about this cooler is its condition, the graphics look great with just light scratches in the paint and I do not see any major dents to the coolers aluminum body or interior, the only problems I can find are very minor, the front rim of the lid on the cooler has afew bends to the aluminum edge that could be easily straightened out as there are no tears to the aluminum itself. It still has its real wood top which is missing some of its paint after years of use and storage, it is however still very much intact and has wonderful patina. The hardware is all here yet and in working condition including the hinges, lock fastners and red plastic water spigot cover. The cooler measures 19" long, 10" wide and stands 13" tall. The cooler is marked on the underside of the lid in raised letters "Quality Cronstroms Service, Cronstroms Manufacturing, Minneapolis, Minnesota". This would make a wonderful cooler for display or use as the seal still appears to be in good condition!
