Nice original 1950's wax coated Smokey The Bear poster. The cardboard stock poster measures 13" by 18 1/2" and is original wax coated (waterproof) so it can be mounted outside. It features Smokey putting a bandage on a little bear cub's paw with a forest fire scene behind them. It is signed by James Hansen or Hansore. Poster reads "Why?, Remember - Only You Can Prevent Forest Fires, Nationwide Cooperative Forest Fire Prevention Campaign Sponsored As A Public Service By American Business, State Forestry Department, U.S. Department Of Agriculture, Forest Service, 60 - CFFP - 2b, U.S. Government Printing Office : 1959 - O - 526025". The litho lithograph poster displays nicely with great colors and graphics. It is in very good to excellent condition with some minor wear on upper left hand edge. It is sold as is. $8.00 postage.
