~ VINTAGE 1950's WESTCLOX ALARM~CLOCK OF TOMORROW~IVORY ~ This is a wonderful vintage alarm clock by WESTCLOX, named Clock of Tomorrow! It's a grand one to be sure, yet the gentle details are charming enough for your romantic cottagey boudoir! These pretty clocks were produced from 1955-1959 in La Salle IL, U.S.A. This one has been keeping perfect time and the ticking is so quiet, you really have to hold it to your ear to hear it which in my experience is unusual for such a large clock. The alarm... is loud as in a firehouse bell... great if you're a deep sleeper! In my opinion, the best feature on this one is the face which is "ribbed" from the middle outward... and each rib represents a minute on the dial... a very lovely detail! It's very clean, with a few scratches to the lens, and some chippiness to the base, but the overall appearance is great! The backside is unusual in that you don't have to be nimble in the fingers... the knobs to set functions are HUGE, and ergonomically friendly!
