This is an original Aeronautical chart dated March 1953. It is a Mt Whitney (S-2) sectional Aeronautical chart. I took many photos of the chart and tried to cover as much as possible, but the photos don't show the actual quality of the chart. The actual chart is is exellent with no tears, folds, or writing with exellent graphics and coloring and appears to have been stored safe and dry all through the years. This chart shows much more that I could ever put in writing. It also says it was compiled and printed at Washington, D.C. by the U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey Under the Authority of the Secretary of Commerce. Principal Sources: U.S. Geological Survey, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Dept. of Agriculture, Civil Aeronautics Administration, and the U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey. Base Edition of Sept. 1947 Revised Aug. 1952. It shows many interesting locations from farms, ranches, lakes, mountains, and the famous Area 51 (which i'm not sure if thats what it was even called back then). It shows Las Vegas with McCarran field all the way out to Indian Springs AFB.
