VINTAGE 1954 HOPALONG CASSIDY LUNCHBOX & THERMOS SET (The first full litho lunchbox) One of the most beloved lunch boxes from the golden age....highly coveted high profile character box.. ************** Listed in Warman's Lunch Boxes Field Guide/Values & Identification at $1,075 in mint conditionPages 229-230*************Getting harder to come by as the years go on..this one is not in mint condition or near mint.It is however, for its age of 58 years, it is in very good to excellent condition. There is rim wear but the graphics are extremely good. Has light suface scratches, etc. normal with its age. Nothing to detract from the beautiful graphics. Inside is fairly clean with a patch of rust where thermos probably stored. Not too bad. (see pics) A label is affixed inside the box as well. No dents to this box. The thermos also has excellent graphics and except for the oxidation on the bottom (which I would leave to its new owner to clean) is in excellent overall condition. Handles and latch works properly. Complete with holder. All in all..this is a great piece of American History and was probably much beloved by some young child.. and still beloved today by all us baby boomers.*************** The pictures that are posted (All 9 ) show it much better than what I might describe and are part of the description as well.
