1956 Western Electric Black Rotary Dial Desk Phone 500 Up for your Bid a 1956 black rotary dial phone made by Western Electric. (Marked 2/56 on the bottom) Series CD 500. This phone is in its original condition with the exception of the black modular line cord that I put on so it will fit your regular wall phone jack and the black handset twisted cord has been replaced at some time with one that is approx. 12 feet long. It is in nice condition with no stretched out areas. The black phone is in perfect working condition. T is a ringer volume control on the bottom of the phone. The white letters, numbers and dots on the black dial face are in great condition. The rotary dial works great (does not stick) and is made of metal not plastic like the newer Western Electric phones. Ringer works fine. The four feet on the bottom are in nice condition. The black thermoplastic housing cover has no chips or cracks and has very few scratches. Still very shiny. The black handset is made of bakelite and is also in wonderful condition. Simply a wonderful vintage Western Electric black rotary dial phone with metal dial to use and display. Winning U.S. bidder to pay actual shipping and insurance. The phone weighs 5 1/2 pounds, after it is packaged it will weigh approx. 7 1/2 pounds.
