Up for auction is a very nice 1956 DIETZGEN Alidade Transit with Wooden case . This DIETZGEN is MODEL number: 6220 SERIAL number: 70341 (12 TO 24 POWER).This has been in storage for many years, it has been stored carefully with desiccant bags in the case to keep moisture out. The base of this alidade measures 18 inches in length.I guarantee everything on this transit is functional or return it for money back. The storage case measures 19 ¼ inches X 8 ¾ inches and 5 ½ inches deep.The leather strap is ripped and needs to be replaced or fixed.Also the inside of the case has a couple of broken pieces of wood inside...w it secures the level on the left inside is loose, and the top inside of the cover t is a small piece of wood broken off w it secures the alidade.Please see pictures for the condition of this item...everything that is shown in the pictures is what you are bidding on, and will receive.Reserve is very modest for this item.Please check with me after auction before paying...will be able to adjust the shipping weight by almost 4 pounds less, if you do not want the desiccants bags in box. I have been asked a couple of times about the reserve price, I feel I should put it in the auction, and not make it a guessing game.Reserve is very modest for this item....$95.00
