This is a very special lot indeed. A genuine, original, vintage 1959 Hofner Club 40 electric guitar (the blond finished version) which has had only two owners in the last 52years. Serial number 741. The guitar is in excellent condition. It has a couple of small scratches in the varnish on the front, other than that the varnish is still gleaming. It comes in its original black hard case which has no key and has lost its handle over the years. This is a very special model and very sort after, as it is one of the original models John Lennon played, he played this guitar at Liverpool's Casbah Club and during the Beatles' first trip to Hamburg. The next year, when Lennon bought a Rickenbacker, he lent his Hofner Club 40 to Paul McCartney, who re-strung it to play left-handed. After Paul switched to bass, John sold the Hofner at profit. This is no modern remake this is the real thing! Get a little bit of musical history. Viewings can be arranged. Enjoy ( Ps John Lennon did not personally own this guitar if thats how it sounds :-) )
