Vintage 1959 Christmas Salt & Pepper Shakers with Candle Holder by Holt Howard with Captain Santa and Sailor First Mate Snowman Shakers in a boat named the SS Noel Rare complete 1959 vintage Christmas salt & pepper shakers & candle holder made by Holt Howard. The shakers are Santa and his First Mate. The candle holder is in the SS Noel's wheelhouse in the center. The red paper Noel flag, hardly ever found, is present, although repaired. All the original stickers are amazenly present as well. Signed Holt Howard 1959 on the bottom. There is one hidden unobtrusive chip on the underside of the back of the sailor's cap. It's quite unnoticeable. And also a chip on the left shoe of the Captain Santa which is hidden when Santa is in the boat and could be made unseen with a black marker. What an awesome vintage Christmas salt & pepper gem!! The little boat is 6 inches long and approximately 2.75 inches wide and 2.5 inches high at its center. Santa and his mate are 2.5 inches tall, making the overall height 3.5 inches with Santa Captain on the foredeck. Seeing this set just makes one ooh and ahh. A gem for a collector!
