Vintage 1960 3 face Whimsie Doll, Faces Rotate

Vintage 1960 3-faced Whimsie Doll from the American Doll & Toy Corp. This ingenious and endearing doll has a knob atop the hat on the head which turns the face. T is a freckled miserable looking face (a case of the measles, is my diagnosis), a sleeping face, and an “all better” smiling face. The head and hat is plastic or vinyl. The body is a pliable, soft rubbery material. The doll is roughly 19” not including the knob on the hat.
The doll has one great big problem - the head is detached. The rubber edge on the body neck has a ¼”-½” tear - just large enough for the head to escape. The body has its original stuffing, The body is lightly soiled and smudged and has some reddish coloring on some fingernails - no doubt added by a budding manicurist. Faces have some minor dinginess and t but are still vivid. T is a touch of wear to the white finish on the knob. I found the doll wearing the pink flannel robe shown. I don’t know if this is original. The robe has pilling, some wear, and a replaced ribbon tie. The doll was also wearing some blue cotton knit elastic waist panties which didn’t seem original but are going with!
