1960's Slingerland “Krupa” Chrome over Brass 5" X 14" Snare Drum Black & Brass Niles Badge 8 lug Serial # 125761 Snare comes from a local estate and is in very good condition given the age. The Zoomatic strainer works perfectly. The butt plate is very clean. Shell has some very light pitting, and typical scuffs and light scratches. But it still looks very nice. I did notice a dent where the muffler tensioner is located on the shell, and it is noticeable in the one photo that I have provided. There is also a dent on the strainer side and the side opposite that is common amongst brass shells from drummers over tightening the strainer. There is another light dent where one of the lugs is located, but it is very difficult to get a photo of chrome items. The dent is not that noticeable, but I am letting the buyer be aware of these things. I am not sure that the hoops are chrome over steel, as I did the magnet test to them and it did not attract to them at all. The magnet I used was not one of those wimpy refrigerator magnets. I am thinking that these hoops are COB Included is a hard shell case that I will package the snare in. I will make sure that it does not bounce around inside the case, adding plenty of padding to it.
