SHARP ORIGINAL VINTAGE 1960s ALL WOOL MOD CAPE COAT GORGEOUS, ORIGINAL VINTAGE 1960s WOOL CAPE COAT - VERY TWIGGY/QUANT Unique & very stylish, original 1960s monochrome all wool Welsh loom woven cape coat. Looks straight out of '60s tv series The Prisoner or The Avengers ...Can be worn two ways: Fully loose as a cape, or with side buttons fastened, creating sleeves. Four large oval black shiny celluloid buttons are cleverly placed at the lower sides, front & back, with front buttons unfastenable via large button holes. Silver metal zip front, with large circular zip pull. Rounded, stand up collar and black wool pipe edging. Thick, double seam shoulders, with carefully tailored shoulder darting for the lovely shape. Short style. The simple geographic '60s design comprises crosses, squares & little hearts. Black & slate grey on a white background. In really excellent, clean condition, with no wear, save for one light rust coloured mark, lower back. Bears the original Pure New Wool logo on silky label, embellished with red Welsh Dragon, reading: Welsh Woollens, Woven in Wales, 100% Wool . No size label, measures as fitting a modern UK size 10-12 approx (s hown on a size 8-10 mannequin). Please do check the single tape measurements, taken across front of laid flat, fastened garment. Across shoulders: 18½" /47cm. Length, nape to hem: 27"/69cm. Approx hem width: 44"/112cm Excellent vintage condition.
