One of the original Apollo Saturn V model rockets from the late 1960's sold at the NASA souvenir shop in Cape Canaveral, Florida at the height of the Space Age. This model rocket is authentic, embossed by the maker on the underside of the base "COUNTDOWN, INC. - P.O. BOX 551 - JACKSONVILLE, FLA. - ZIP CODE 32201 - PAT. APP." The rocket is made of hard plastic and stands just over 12" tall on a 3.75" by 4.75" black plastic base with a metal plate inscribed "APOLLO / SATURN V". The rocket has its original white and black colors with red lettering, and is in very good condition except that the very tip of the aerial on top of the capsule is chipped off. The model rocket is removable from its mount, and simply fits into the center. This is a terrific old souvenir from the Apollo moon mission that landed a man on the moon in 1969.
