If you read our feedback on past sales, you will find out many of our buyers say the item they purchased from us was better than described, so keep that in mind when reading my honest descriptions. This is a very rare, all original,1 blade, circa 1960'S CASE XX DOCTOR'S pattern, pocket knife, with incredably gorgeous, jigged, red bone handles. ( See closeup handle picture) T are no chips, cracks or other problems with the handles and they show very little if any wear. This very rare and collectable knife has been carried and used a little but is still in great shape as you can see in the pictures. It looks to have been lightly sharpened but t is little if any blade loss, and the blade is not at all short. It is closed 3 5/8'''' and with master blade open 6 5/8 ''. The handles have the CASE shield on the front and nickle silver bolsters at one end on both sides and 4 brass pins on each side. The blade is tight when open, snaps good when opening or closing and like many old carbon steel knives have dark areas. The master blade's front tang is stamped CASE XX USA with no dots and as you can see in the closeup the stamp is very clear. The rear tang is not as clearly stamped 6185 which is correct for this knife. The spring liners are brass. This knife is very rare, collectable, in excellent condition.
