Vintage 1960's Dansette Capri SL Record Player Listing for spares/repair Here we have a fantastic project for a fix up to make this into the stunning record player it used to be! In the right hands this could be made to look lovely once again! These are sought after players and I have seen fully refurbished ones sell for £200 plus. There currently are several issues with the player, the ones I have identified are: It doesn't power up when switched to the ON position The turntable is not free moving There are several marks/dents/chips/peeling to the wood casing and leatherette style cover One of the hinges has been pulled out and broken the wood it was attached to, the other hinge is not attached to anything Needs a replacement stylus/cartridge and work on the arm as there are wires hanging out of it Please understand there may be other issues I have not been able to identify once the unit is inspected or taken apart. All that said there are some good points to mention to, especially if you are planning on using th is for parts for another record player: The arm and stacker are free moving The STOP/START/AUTO switch moves as it should The record speed switch moves as it should The ON/OFF/TONE dial and volume dial are intact, good condition and free moving, you can hear a P&P costs stated are for UKMainlands - I will post Worldwide read more
