Here's the Flashy Flickers Magic Picture Gun made by Marx in the 1960s . This cool toy is designed to resemble a semiautomatic machine gun, but it's actually a film projector! The gun comes with four filmstrips, each one based on a popular newspaper comic strip: Blondie, Prince Valiant, The Phantom, and Hi and Lois. The gun/projector doesn't have any chips, cracks, or other visible damage. Unfortunately, it's not working. The battery compartment is clean, so the problem could be something as simple as a loose or burned out light bulb. This projector operates on three "D" batteries, which are not included. All four films are here, and all of them look like they are in great condition. The original instruction sheet is also included; this sheet is badly wrinkled and has a few holes in it. And everything comes in the original box, which still has the plastic carrying handle on the top. The box is in excellent condition for its age; there's a small rip on the top edge near one side of the handle which has been repaired with clear tape, and there's some light wear along the edges and at the corners. Remember that this item is being sold as is and in non-working condition.
