Vintage 1950's/1960's bat op battery operated Japan Japanese HO scale tin toy train. "Battery Powered Train Set With Whistle And Smoke, Contents - 1 Pc. Locomotive, 1 Pc. Tender, 2 Pcs. Freight Cars, 1 Pc. Station, 14 Pcs. Tracks, Rosko Toy, Rosko Tested, T.N. (T. N. TN T N), 081, Made In Japan". This toy includes original box with wear and one end flap missing, 10 pieces of curved track, 4 straight track including one terminal piece, heavy plastic and metal steam engine locomotive, tender, "A T S F Shock Control" box car and "N Y C" empty hopper car. Track, loco, tender and both cars are marked "Made In Japan". The engine has been tested and it runs well. There is no "station" which housed the remote batteries that connected by wire to the terminal track. This is a remote battery train set as the batteries do not go in the engine but instead power the rails remotely. The locomotive wheels pick up the battery current to move. This is a rare remote powered Rosko railroad railway toy is almost complete condition. The track, engine, tender and cars are very well made and detailed, and they are in very good to excellent condition. This set is sold as is. $12.00 postage.
